About this tool

Break a long screenshot into readable sections or divide artwork into a grid. Check the cut lines first; row-and-column filenames help keep the exported PNG pieces in order.

How to use

Split image

What this tool is for

Cut images into grids, fixed-size tiles, long-image sections, or manually placed guides for social grids, web captures, print slices, and asset extraction.

How to use it

Choose a row-and-column grid, long-image segments, fixed-size tiles, or manual pixel guides. Confirm the cut lines in the preview, then export each source as an ordered set of separate tiles. Each source can produce up to 2,500 tiles. Increase tile dimensions or reduce the number of cuts if you exceed this limit.

Results and next steps

A source may produce several tiles, frames, sizes, or formats. Output names include the relevant identifier, and the chosen set can be downloaded individually or as a ZIP.

Privacy and local processing

Processing runs in your browser. Source images are not uploaded by this tool.

Common questions

Will a grid lose edge pixels when the dimensions do not divide evenly?

No. Shared grid boundaries distribute the remainder and cover the whole source. Fixed-size tiles and long-image sections may have a smaller final piece. Output is numbered PNG, with up to 2,500 pieces per source.

Which split mode suits a long screenshot, a social grid or fixed tiles?

Use rows and columns for a social grid, section height for long screenshots, and fixed width and height for asset tiles. Check whether cut lines cross text or subjects; use manual guides where the content determines the cuts.

How do I enter manual cut positions?

Enter pixel positions from the original image’s left or top edge, such as 800, 1600. Horizontal guides use vertical positions; vertical guides use horizontal positions. Duplicate positions are merged, and positions outside the image or on its boundary add no cut.
