Do source images need matching dimensions?
No. Set a shared canvas and choose fit, crop to fill or stretch, with individual frame delays. The limit is 500 frames and 1,200 pixels per side. GIF supports up to 256 palette colours, so compare dithering on photos and gradients.
How can I hold one image longer or change playback order?
Reorder the frames in the queue and give the frame a longer individual delay; duplicating the file is unnecessary. Play the full export to check the loop transition. A larger millisecond value holds that frame longer.
How can I reduce banding or grain in a photo-based GIF?
GIF reduces colours to a palette. More colours can better match the source; dithering can soften banding but add grain and bytes. Set the required canvas dimensions first, then compare palette and dithering choices.
