How to use
Resize image — Resize images online
Resize JPG, PNG, WebP, and AVIF images in batches by dimensions, percentage, long or short edge. Fit, crop, pad, prevent enlargement, and create multiple sizes locally in your browser.
Resize by pixels, percentage, width, height, or edge
Enter an exact width and height, or set only the width, height, percentage, longest side, or shortest side. Landscape and portrait files are calculated independently from their own aspect ratio, and the projected dimensions are shown before processing.
Fit, crop, pad, or stretch
When the source and target proportions differ, fit the whole image inside the box, crop centrally to fill it, add a chosen padding colour, or deliberately stretch to exact dimensions. Enlargement is disabled by default because interpolation cannot recover missing detail; switch it on only when the workflow requires it.
Batch resizing and multiple outputs
Choose several images, a folder, or a ZIP archive. Add responsive widths such as 640, 1280, and 1920 pixels, percentage variants, or long-edge sizes, then generate thumbnails, content images, and large assets in one pass. Download one result, selected results, or a ZIP.
High-quality resampling and pixel art
Natural mode uses high-quality resampling for general photography and graphics. Crisp mode reinforces edges during downscaling, while Pixel art uses nearest-neighbour scaling to avoid blurred blocks. The tool keeps the source format and leaves compression and conversion to their dedicated workspaces.
Local processing and metadata
Images are decoded and resized in the current browser and are not uploaded by this tool. Re-sampling produces a clean file without EXIF or GPS metadata while originals remain untouched. If enlargement protection means no pixel change is needed, the original file is kept byte for byte. Large images and batches can require substantial device memory.
Common questions
Why is the output not exactly the width and height I entered?
Fit preserves proportions without adding borders, and enlargement protection can limit the actual size. For a precise canvas, choose crop to fill, padding or stretch and inspect the forecast. Stretch can distort the picture.
Will changing pixel dimensions guarantee a file below 100 KB?
No. Pixel dimensions and encoded file size are different. This tool keeps the source format; send the result to the image compressor for a strict size ceiling, then check the final detail.
How can I create thumbnails and larger versions in one run?
Set the main size, then add the other output specifications. Each has its own dimensions, fit method and enlargement setting; identical specifications are deduplicated. Check the size-labelled results and download selected versions or the ZIP.
Which resampling mode should I choose?
Start with balanced for photographs. Try sharp if a reduced image looks soft, checking for halos around text. Pixel-art mode disables smoothing for block-based artwork and usually suits portraits poorly. Enlargement cannot recover missing source detail.
