Common questions
Does the sprite sheet play automatically, and where is the timing?
The PNG is static. JSON supplies each frame's coordinates, dimensions and effective decoded delay; missing or zero delays become 100 ms. CSS supplies background positions. Your website or game must implement playback, and large sheets remain subject to the canvas pixel budget.
Can more columns fix an oversized sprite sheet?
Columns can balance the sheet’s width and height but do not reduce the total frame pixels. If it still exceeds limits, resize or reduce frames in the GIF editor first. Use the newly exported coordinates with the new sheet.
