Save a frame for a cover image or inspect a short section of an animation. The extracted pictures are fully composited, and the timing file maps them back to their positions in the original GIF.
Read a GIF timeline and export frames by start, end, and interval while preserving timing information for inspection or reuse.
Choose a frame range and sampling interval to export numbered PNGs. The accompanying frame-timings.json records decoded frame durations and cumulative start times. A missing or zero delay is treated as 100 milliseconds.
A source may produce several tiles, frames, sizes, or formats. Output names include the relevant identifier, and the chosen set can be downloaded individually or as a ZIP.
Processing runs in your browser. Source images are not uploaded by this tool.
They are complete frames reconstructed using transparency and rules for retaining, clearing or restoring earlier frames. Choose a range and interval; frame-timings.json records source frame numbers, effective decoded delays and start times. Missing or zero delays become 100 ms. Up to 500 frames can be read.
Find its frame number, set the start and end to that same number and use an interval of 1. Download the PNG. The timing file helps identify where that frame occurred in the source animation.
Check that the start exists and the end is not before it; try an interval of 1. Damaged GIFs or sources beyond the frame-reading limit cannot proceed. Selecting a smaller range does not bypass the source-file frame limit.
