About this conversion
Files keep their original bytes when the format matches and quality, dimensions, orientation and metadata are unchanged. Adjust quality to recompress a file in the same format.
Compatible EXIF from JPEG, PNG and WebP is retained by default and may include location. Enable removal to discard it. Retention is unavailable for AVIF/HEIC sources or AVIF output. Re-encoding corrects EXIF orientation and dimensions; original colour profiles, XMP and other non-EXIF data are not retained. Complete metadata preservation is not guaranteed.
GIF input is converted as a still frame. Use the dedicated GIF tools to preserve animation.

How to use

Convert iPhone photos to JPG. Open the HEIC shortcut and select the original photos. The queue creates JPEG automatically without changing pixel dimensions. Check orientation, colours and the white background used for transparency. The first HEIC needs the local decoder to load. A Live Photo companion video is not converted, and multi-image HEIC is not exported frame by frame.

Batch naming and ordering
Each image has one card, with a shared name and orientation for all its formats. Global orientation applies to current and future images; adjust individual cards or reset them to the global setting. Rename images, add a prefix or reorder cards without encoding again.

Common questions
Can I convert iPhone HEIC photos directly to JPG?
Yes. Import HEIC and select JPEG for automatic local conversion, keeping pixel dimensions by default. Live Photo companion videos are not converted, and multi-image HEIC files are not exported frame by frame.
Are capture dates and location retained after conversion?
Compatible EXIF is retained by default between JPEG, PNG and WebP and may include location; you can enable removal. Retention is unavailable for HEIC/AVIF sources or AVIF output. XMP and original colour profiles are not guaranteed to survive.
How do I choose the background when converting transparent PNG to JPG?
JPEG needs an opaque background, so choose the required colour before conversion and inspect the composited edges. Keep PNG, or choose supported WebP or AVIF, when the result must remain transparent.
Must I restart everything if one file or format fails?
No. Read the failed item’s message and use its retry control; successful versions remain downloadable. Replace damaged or undecodable sources, or reduce oversized dimensions. Changing formats or quality updates the affected results.
