Portraits and product images benefit from different segmentation models. Choose a suitable mode, inspect edges closely and reuse the mask when trying solid colours or a replacement background image.
Remove backgrounds locally with a fast portrait model or a finer general model, then reuse the mask with transparency, a solid colour, or another image.
Choose the fast portrait or detailed general model, allowing the first download and integrity check to finish. Review the alpha mask, then reuse it for transparent, solid, or custom backgrounds; hair and translucent edges still need zoomed inspection.
The default result is a transparent PNG, or the same mask can be composited onto a solid or custom background. Zoom and compare before download.

Try the smaller portrait model for a person, and the larger general model for products or more varied subjects. Models download into the browser while photos remain local. Inspect hair, glass and semi-transparent edges closely.
With a transparent background selected, the tool automatically exports PNG to preserve the alpha channel. JPEG does not support transparency. The calculated mask can be reused when you try a solid colour or an image background.
Compare the portrait and general models and use modest feathering; too much can erase detail. This page has no manual mask-painting tool. For persistent gaps, use a clearer, better-separated source or an editor with editable masks.
