How to use
Paste or open the original and updated JSON. The table lists each changed path and both values. Reordering object properties does not count as a change; moving array items does.
Numbers retain their precision, while equivalent forms such as 1 and 1.0 compare equal. Duplicate keys are rejected. The table shows 300 changes; the JSON download includes all changes with values stored as their original JSON text. Each input supports 2 MiB, 30,000 values and 80 levels. A comparison supports up to 10,000 changes. If it exceeds that limit, split the input and try again.
Common questions
Does reordering an array count as a change?
Yes. Arrays are compared by index; object property order is ignored. Numerically equivalent forms such as 1 and 1.0 compare equal. Duplicate object keys are rejected.
Why are before and after values stored as strings in the download?
Those fields contain the original JSON text to preserve number precision and distinguish types. A JSON null value appears as the text "null"; an absent value uses null. Parse each text value separately only if your downstream parser can preserve its numbers.
Are differences omitted when the table stops at 300 rows?
Only the table is shortened. Copying or downloading includes every detected difference, up to 10,000. If that limit is exceeded, the comparison fails as a whole; split the documents into smaller matching sections and compare again.
