Check which address, mail or text records a resolver currently returns for a domain.

How to use

Enter a domain, choose a record type and resolver, then submit the query. A, AAAA, MX, TXT and other common types are supported. For PTR, you can also enter an IPv4 or IPv6 address. Inspect answer, authority and additional records, then copy or download the raw JSON.

Only an explicit query contacts the selected Cloudflare or Google service, which receives the queried name and sees your connection’s IP address. You can cancel a query; it times out after 12 seconds. DNSSEC status reflects the resolver’s AD flag, not an independent signature check or a website availability test.

Only submitting a query contacts your selected Cloudflare or Google resolver. It receives the queried name and sees your connection IP address.

Does the DNSSEC indicator verify signatures here?

No. It displays the resolver’s AD flag. This tool does not independently validate DNSSEC signatures, and the flag does not establish whether a website is reachable.

Which record type should I choose for a website or email setup?

Use A for IPv4 addresses, AAAA for IPv6, MX for mail servers and TXT for text records such as verification entries. PTR accepts an IP address for a reverse lookup. Enter the DNS name itself, without https:// or a path; querying a record does not test the service behind it.

Does an empty answer mean the domain does not exist?

Not necessarily. NOERROR with no answer can mean that this name has no record of the requested type; NXDOMAIN reports a nonexistent name. Check the type and spelling, then compare resolvers if needed. TTL is the returned cache lifetime in seconds, not a promise that every resolver updates immediately.
