About this tool
Check intervals and target dates using calendar days rather than elapsed 24-hour periods. Decide whether the endpoints should be included before using the result.
How to use
Use the left calculator for a date interval. Include the end date to count both endpoints; reverse intervals return a negative number. On the right, positive day counts move forward and negative counts move backward.
Calculations use calendar dates and are unaffected by 23- or 25-hour daylight-saving days. Skipping weekends excludes only Saturdays and Sundays, not public holidays. Valid dates from year 0001 to 9999 are supported.
Common questions
Does skipping weekends account for public holidays?
No. Only Saturdays and Sundays are excluded. Public holidays, make-up working days and different local working weeks require a separate calendar check.
Is September 10 to September 12 two days or three?
The ordinary interval is two calendar days. Including both endpoints gives three; the same date gives zero normally and one when endpoints are included.
How do I move backward by five weekdays?
Enter -5 in day addition and enable skipping weekends. Counting starts after the base date and skips Saturday and Sunday in either direction. A zero-day offset leaves even a weekend date unchanged.
